Other events you dust them and never see them again. In most events, they will always be on you no matter how many of them you trash. AI Racers are the definition of rubber bands.
No Quick Play an Event/Track which is the most obvious thing in the world. You have to progress through the Sedan track to unlock the SUV track, then you get one RR event, then you have to progress all the way through that track for another one. You can't just jump in to play some Road Rage. More than once I came back to find myself dead. You can crash from the Takedown camera. I turned it off quick, which I never did in Burnout. When the takedown camera cuts in, they're flying in a random direction for no reason at all. Some have unique properties (ie better weight for Road Rage events) but they are hidden in a sloooooow ticker at the bottom of the select screen. The cars are uninspiring (Sedan, Tuned Sedan, Prototype Sedan, etc). When you're slamming around in a Road Rage event hitting triple takedowns, it's a lot of fun. Plays like the Burnout of old, in theory. It reads like it's awful but it's not awful, just a lot worse than it could/should have been. Some pros and cons after ~2 hours and 390/1000 GS. I'm having some fun with it but it's objectively pretty bad (compared to its full-budgeted ancestors).
